Lentezza trasferimento file in Vista: Risposta da Microsoft

Ecco una risposta a questo "problema" tratto dai newsgroup tecnici di Windows Vista, il post è riportato con il permesso del suo autore, non è da considerarsi come la risposta ufficiale da parte di Microsoft ma è una fonte certa di informazione.

Oggetto: Move/Copy/Delete seems to be really slow in Vista - some answers

We've heard mixed reports about the copy/move/delete functionality in
Windows Vista with regards to performance. In some cases, there were
tradeoffs made which are essentially better for the user and their data and
the overall system experience. I've outlined some of these below:

More Secure Data:
Part of the move process in Vista is about retaining the ACL (Access Control
List) in the new directory in which the item was moved. In a scenario where
a user deletes a file that has permissions applied and that file is moved to
the recycle bin, the access/restrictions will continue to apply.

We typically use unbuffered writes to the disk in Vista during a
copy/move/delete, therefore, we know that the progress dialog is displayed
until the operation is complete. If a user copies from a removable media
device and after the move is shown as complete, we know that all the data
was written to the disk.
Otherwise, the user could be in a situation where it looks the move
operation from an external drive is completed and he/she removes the drive
only to find out that not all the data was transferred over. I should also
note that conversely, after copying large amounts of data to a removable
device, the "safely remove" is now faster in Vista.

Better Overall System Performance:
As mentioned above, we typically use unbuffered writes to the disk in Vista
during a copy/move/delete which ensures the operation does not impair the
overall operating system performance.
I.E. The system can remain more responsive than in XP during the
copy/move/delete process.

Premesso che il mio hd piu' lento e' un Sata2 io nnho riscontrato le particolari lentezze lamentate..

E' vero che tutti i servizi legati al controllo e indicizzazione dei file e alla sicurezza creano un effetto tipo Norton, quindi un rallentamento generale del sistema che di suo e' gia' molto pesante...

Pero' come su winxp ognugno ormai ad installazione finita ha i vari Tweak da fare e ottimizzazioni, su vista levando qualche servizio inutile ed escludendo la partentesi sicurezza ecc ecc il sistema diventa piu' leggero piu' reattivo...

Il fatto che Vista gestisca meglio la gestione di piu' copie file contemporanee e' un ottima features, nn so se vi sia mai capitato ma se volete vedere in crisi il vostro super pc con dualcore provate a copiare per esempio 7 film in divx nn in un unica soluzione ma in modo progressivo, quindi aprendo 7 finestre di copia file... Bene... Fatto? Ora provate a fare qualsiasi altra cosa, winxp si addormenta...
