Abbinato alla mirrorless Olympus OM-D E-M5, il nuovo M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 75mm f1.8 fa certamente "scena": realizzato interamente in metallo (non tropicalizzato), e caratterizzato dalla grande apertura (F1.8), è il primo teleobiettivo (150mm nel f.to 35mm) nativo per le fotocamere m4/3.
Olympus definisce questo 75/1.8 come "High Grade Portrait Lens", non facendo quindi mistero del target di utenza, pro e semi-pro, e del campo di utilizzo, ritrattistica / sport / bassa luce, cui è destinato: diaframma a 9 lamelle arrotondate per una sfocatura morbida e progressiva; formula ottica con 10 elementi, di cui 3 ED e 2 HR, raccolti in nove gruppi; tecnologia ZERO (ZUIKO Extra-low Reflection Optical Coating); design di tipo IF (Internal Focus).
Molta enfasi è posta, dal Produttore, nell'elevata qualità della realizzazione, con particolare riguardo alla precisione del movimento dell'anello di messa a fuoco, studiato per agevolare il più possibile le operazioni di regolazione manuali.
Riferimento, immancabile, anche all'ambito video: l'M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 75mm f1.8 é infatti dotato di sistema AF ultra-silenzioso MSC (Movie & Still Compatible).
Diponibilità prevista per l'estate ad un prezzo di circa 799 Sterline (996,00 Euro al cambio attuale); tra gli accessori, opzionali, figurano il paraluce LH-61F ed il tappo LC-61, entrambi in metallo, a 69.90 e 39.90 Sterline rispettivamente.
