Il multi-touch su Linux, fa un altro passo avanti con il supporto ora integrato in (una versione modificata) X.org allo scopo di poter ottenere il controllo multi-touch. Ecco un video dimostrativo dove questo controllo Ã¨ utilizzato su una varietÃ di schermi touch-screen (compreso il PC Stantum), usando Fedora 12.

Tutti i driver si possono trovare sul sito linkato in calce, perÃ² al momento il supporto hardware sembra localizzato solo ad una manciata di touch screen e non su un qualsiasi PC tablet o Netbook.

Ecco comunque i requisiti per utilizzare il multi-touch:

a Linux kernel 2.6.31 or more recent;

a computer with a Broadcom 5974 trackpad or NTrig surface, a 3M, Acer T230H or DiamondTouch panel, or an Asus EeePC T91MT;

our Stantum MTP, Stantum HID, 3M, Acer (not working properly, distributed for test purposes), Asus (not working properly, distributed for test purposes), or DiamondTouch driver (NextWindow is in the works). You will also need to import bits from hid-core.c and hid-ids.h into the drivers/hid directory of your kernel sources.
