AMD ha rilasciato una nuova versione beta dei Radeon Software Crimson Edition, la sua suite che fornisce i driver e il software di sistema per GPU e IGP Radeon.
Migliorate sensibilmente le prestazioni di tutte le schede, in particolare per la Fury X, con Rise of the Tomb Raider, (sino ad un 16% rispetto alla versioni precedenti dei driver) e con Gears of War Ultimate Edition, vero tallone di Achille per AMD, dove abbiamo un incremento sino al 60%.
I Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.3 Hotfix introducono anche il supporto ufficiale per le API Vulkan, nonché le nuove funzionalità 2-display Eyefinity, Power Efficiency Toggle, Per-Game Display Scaling e Crossfire Status Indicator.
Con questa versione spunta anche la tecnologia XConnect, ovvero il supporto a box esterni equipaggiati con schede video AMD Radeon tramite connessione Thunderbolt 3 e USB 3.1.
Risolti infine alcuni bug relativi a XCOM 2, Gears of War Ultimate Edition, Ashes of the Singularity e Rise of the Tomb Raider.
