BIOSTAR MICROTECH INT'L CORP.'S Announcement of M7MKA, M7MKB & M7MKE Motherboards Could Not Support AMD "Thunderbird" Slot A Processor
Hsin Tien city, Taipei Hsien, Taiwan - Aug. 3, 2000 - The current situation about the motherboards supporting Slot A processor is chaos. That's due to the different cores used within AMD Athlon Slot A processors with same packing and it has caused a lot of confusion to the customers. In fact, BIOSTAR's products, M7MKA, M7MKB and M7MKE, are very popular in the market all over the world during past months. Some customers try to use them with AMD Athlon "Thunderbird" Slot A CPUs. However, the original design of those motherboards are only for the classic AMD Athlon processors (non-Thunderbird). We would like to inform our customers of this status to please use the right processors for the right motherboards.

In effetti i test fatti a suo tempo dicevano che la Biostar non andava con Thunderbird..

La cosa che mi fa' pensare pero' e' che la Biostar usa il condizionale... "Il ThunderBird potrebbe non funzionare"...
e la cosa strana e' che non dovrebbe funzionare neanche sulla M7MKA che usa il chipset AMD...

Invece dalle esperienze viste su AMD Zone pare che la M7MKE, quella basata sul VIA KX133, viaggi senza problemi coi tbird...
niente di certo però, ovvio.
