La Olympus-SP800UZ si presenta con un obiettivo super-zoom 30x, sensore da 14 megapixel, 2Gb di memoria interna e un display LCD da 3 pollici. Il "doppio" della dotazione se la si paragona alla SP-600UZ, con uno zoom 15x, una memoria da un 1GB e un display, leggermente più piccolo, da 2,7 pollici (il sensore è da 12 megapixel). In comune le digicam hanno il metodo di stabilizzazione Dual Image, la registrazione dei video in HD e il tracking AF.
