Il miniPC in mio possesso che ha 2 BUS USB:

Sul frontale ho una porta USB 3.0 (Blu) e 4 USB 2.0 (Nere), ho provato a connetere il DAC sia alla prima che alle altre, ma francamente non ho sentito nessuna differenza apprezzabile, anche se alla fine ho preferito lasciare connessa la 3.0, ma senza un vero motvo.
L'interfaccia è la USB/I2S bulgara.
Questo già da Agosto, quindi prima che tu ne parlassi.

però dallle risposte che mi da lsusb è come se tutte le porte fossero connesse al BUS USB 2.0:

Stiamo dicendo la stessa cosa.
In pratica la xmos viene riconosciuta come dispositivo usb2 e questo avviene ovviamente sia che la colleghi alla usb2 sia alla usb3. Pare quindi che la " tratti" allo stesso modo.
Vedi se r iesci a scoprire se i controller usb2 e 3 sono separati
Visivamente non riesco, le porte sono fisicamente saldate sulla mb che è molto piccola e 'fitta' di componenti.

Ma non é che la JLsound viene riconosciuta a prescindere come una USB2? o potrbbe dipendere dal cavo?

La mia perplessità non è sul fatto che venga riconosciuta come USB2, dato che è USB2, ma che appaia sempre nell'albero del BUS 001, la cui radice è:
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub.
Mi sarei aspettato che la porta USB3 comparisse in un ramo di:
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub.
Ma forse sbaglio io ed è corretto sia così. La controprova sarebbe attaccare un dispositivo USB3 a quella porta e vedere se viene ricondotto al ramo corretto o meno, ma non ho nesun dispositivo usb3 a portata di mano...
