"A: The DRAM chips we use to build the Dominator GTX4 DDR3 memory modules are literally the cream of the cream of the crop. Multiple screening and sorting steps are involved, using actual motherboards, and carefully selected and characterized Intel® Core™ i7 processors. We utilize specially designed DRAM socket modules which allow us to test DRAM chips individually in the same motherboards that end-users will use, before we even build them into modules. That way every single DRAM chip that ends up being used on a final DIMM is guaranteed to be the fastest of the fast. At the end of the day, only a very small percentage of the components that go through the screening process are actually selected. That’s the main reason why the Dominator GTX4 DDR3 memory is produced in very limited quantities."
