How flat is flat? Totally flat tube designs have an optical distortion problem caused by the thickness of the tube faceplate. Due to light refraction, light reaching the eye from anywhere other than the centre of the field of view is bent as it passes through the faceplate. If the faceplate thickness at the edges is made the same as the centre, the image will appear slightly concave. This distortion can be minimised by building a shallow curve into the back of the faceplate. The resulting lens corrects for the optical distortion at normal viewing distances. However, there's a further complication imposed by the type of tube mask used in the tube design, which limits the choice of faceplate curvature and therefore the effectiveness of the optical correction. Many totally flat tube designs are very similar to the Sony Trinitron design: Sony's own FD Trinitron tube, for example. A heavy steel frame holds thin vertical metal strips under tension forming an aperture grille or tension mask. This construction means that the tube mask can only be curved in the horizontal direction. As the inner curvature on the faceplate must match that of the mask, only horizontal optical correction can be applied. LG Electronics Flatron has a tension mask with no curvature, so it produces an image that does appear slightly concave. Some totally flat tubes, the Samsung DynaFlat for example, use a shadow mask--a perforated metal sheet. Sheet-type masks are made with a degree of convexity for structural rigidity. This determines the inner curve of the faceplate and with a perforated shadow mask design this tends to be more than the ideal for optical correction. Totally flat shadow mask tubes therefore may produce images that give the impression of being slightly convex.

Il negoziante mi ha detto che se voglio cambiare i 2 maxtor da 20gb per 2 ibm 30gb dtla senza montare le 2 ventoline devo firmare un foglio dove mi assumo la responsabilità per un'eventuale rottura dei suddetti dovuta al surriscaldamento, rinunciando alla garanzia? Vi sembra giusto?
Mi hanno detto che maxtor garantisce gli hd 3 anni, e ibm?

No...assurdo!Comunque se rompe tanto prendi queste ventole (quanto puo spendere 30k al massimo, no?) e mandalo a FAN***O.Perche' poi malauguratamente ti si rompa qualunche cosa sara' in grado di dare la colpa a questa grave mancanza hardware...

sempre ritornando al discorso monitor.....

c'e il samsung dynaflat....a leggere nel sito ufficiale della samsung sembrerebbe che questo monitor sia veramente piatto..senza nessuna lente...e ancora secondo quello che si legge ...sembrerebbe l'unico in commercio

non bisogna confonderlo con l'altro monitor sempre della samsung che è si piatto ma utilizza lo tecnologia flat degli altri monitor come appunto l'LG(in listono hanno lo stesso identico prezzo e in varie recensioni ho letto che questo monitor è spesso confuso e solo pochi rivenditori lo hanno)

magari andate a vedere il sito che vi ho proposto e poi fatemi sapere...magari soprattutto se qualcuno di voi ha avuto modo di vederlo all'opera... e mi raccomando deve essere il samsung itf

Io ho il samsung (syncmaster 700 ift) e tutti i miei amici (anche chi ha lg)mi dicono che ho un monitor bellissimo, VERAMENTE piatto. Io te lo consiglio, arriva a 1600*1200.
