1. mi perderei il vantaggio (non piccolo) di riutilizzare le librerie di LMS e di conseguenza dovrei reimplementarle.

librerie di LMS... che fanno cosa?

Forse continuo a non aver compreso bene l'architettura generale del sistema (e come le tue aggiunte si integrano con questa), ma io mi riferivo solo al programma per gestire conversioni di formato ed upsampling, non a tutto quanto: la parte che si integra più direttamente con LMS (il plugin) penso convenga senz'altro farla comunque in Perl.

2. uno dei 'requisiti' era di usare sox e non libsox, anche se io credo che sia stessa cosa e che sia più provbabile avere differenze in versioni diverse di sox che non tra sox e libsox nella stessa versione.

gli sviluppatori sostengono che sia esattamente lo stesso codice. È probabile che le differenze riscontrate siano da imputare banalmente alle diverse impostazioni: in genere i software che usano libsoxr (come squeezelite o MPD) offrono molte meno possibilità di "fine tuning" delle impostazioni rispetto a quanto fa sox con le sue numerose opzioni. Sviluppando in proprio il software nulla impedisce di offrire tutte le opzioni che si vuole. Per altro, nulla vieta di utilizzare la libreria completa (libsox2) piuttosto che "libsoxr" (o di permettere l'uso dell'una o dell'altra, a scelta).

3. anticipo un 'segreto', è comuqne nelle mie intenzioni ralizzare un C da poter utilizzare IN ALTERNATIVA ai vari sox, flac, ffmpeg,...

...è sempre più evidente che non ho capito come sono organizzate le cose: non è proprio questo (tutto e solo) ciò che dovrebbe fare "C3PO"?

Io rimango sempre basito quando si incontrano probnlemi di questo tipo: Non sarò mica il primo a voler rilasciare qualcosa in Windows, dovebbe essere la cosa più facile del mondo... Invece no... abbracadabra, ali di pipistrello ed un pizzico di mandragola...

eh, ma windoze mica è un sistema aperto! La M$ (e la Apple, e gli altri colossi del settore) non gradiscono affatto che la gente sia libera di fare ciò che vuole... secondo loro dovresti fare le cose esclusivamente "a modo loro", utilizzando esclusivamente i linguaggi, le librerie ed i tools di sviluppo che offrono loro (per lo più a pagamento, si intende...). E, in prospettiva, alla fine solo il software che decidono loro! Avrai sentito parlare di "trusted computing" (o comunque lo chiamino adesso), immagino: se riuscissero ad imporre quel loro vecchio sogno, i PC diventerebbero più chiusi di un iPad/iPhone: potresti farci girare solo lo specifico OS che ti forniscono loro, con le applicazioni che decidono loro... addio possibilità di utilizzare OS alternativi o sviluppare software in proprio. Un vero e proprio incubo Orwelliano... che purtroppo si sta avvicinando sempre di più (vedi il "secure boot" in UEFI: che succederebbe se ad un certo punto non fosse più possibile disabilitarlo/aggirarlo?).

Sopra ho incollato il log del server con impostato massima supportata e nel player ho tolto tutte le spunte sopra 96

PS: Prova a installare Debian 32 bit sul Futro.....con Squeezelite-mc2-i386 e ne vedrai delle belle..
