Ciao from switzerland!
I can only respond in english but google chrome translate has gotten quite good at translating all websites
I used Gentooplayer to set it up on a Metrum Ambre (based on Raspberry 3) to work as a NAA with HQPlayer and with Audirvana (Mac) over Upnp. I've compared both settings. To me, HQPlayer over NAA is more stable and has a lot less "background noise". With Audirvana and Upnp I'm getting a constant increase in background noise, which is especially noticeable in quite music passages. Has anyone else experienced this? Or are there any settings that might improve this background noise?
Gracie!
No profiles, 4.19.81-GentooPlayer-4.19-ST+
I use the 32bit version from here: https://audiophilestyle.com/forums/t...omment-1015617
I will try to use the 4.14 kernel
Edit:
Just checked: in the newest version it is not available, only 4.19 kernels.
Saluti e buone feste.
Stefano
