Si, adesso stai suonando una traccia nel mezzo di un cue file che viene letta da LMS tramite il protocollo File e passata direttamente in output senza aprire la pipe nel comando, quindi non è intercettabile dal plugin. E' una strada diversa, interna ad LMS, non c'è un entrypoint cui io possa agganciarmi, o almeno al momento mi sfugge.

Al momento credo sia l'unico modo per suonare sia qubuz che i .cue, ma rinunciando ad upsampling e conversione sul server... (ovviamente puoi farli sul client), devo studiarci.

ho disponibile una versione con lo script completamente rivisitato, ora è ottimizzato re ridurre al massimo i passaggi e le trascodifiche in funzione delle configurazione disponibile, del formato di output selezionato e di quello del file in input. Il risultato finale dovrebbe essere una ulteriore riduzione dei carichi di lavoro, anche se può variare da nulla, se si usava già una configurazione buona a molto, se si era costretti a più di un passaggio (es FLAC/SOX) inutilmente.

Se qualcuno è disponibile per delle prove in windows stasera, la metto sul server.

ottimo, ma nel frattempo stamattina ho installato LMS sul portatile che uso in ufficio (non ditelo al mio uomo dei sistemi però...) con win 8.1 senza perl e, come mi aspettavo, ho riscontrato alcuni problemi dovuti al fatto che io ho dato per scontato la presenza di moduli che ho nella mia configurazione (chissà quando li ho messi...). Sto lavorando per risolvere, spero di riuscirci entro sera, compabilmente con gli altri impegni...

Nota a latere: nelle prove che ho fatto ho verificato che SOX 'fatica' se alimentato da FLAC uscendo in AIF (almeno su windows). A samplerate elevati ed in qualche caso va in palla, ma già a 176400 anche sul mio vecchio XP non ha problemi.

E' certamente una configurazione non comune, necessaria solo se si vuole usare AIF con cue sheets senza FFMPEG installato ma è bene saperlo, d'altrocanto a me pare che AIF suoni sensibilmente meglio di Flac, quindi se si vuole stare su formati compressi...

mmhhh non sono sicuro usi solo il server (esce in formato sox... 176400, bisogna capire cos'è quel formato e come è generato, secondo me c'è qualcos'altro a valle)

esce direttamente in dop, standard... il formato nativo "sox" è (giustamente) utilizzato solo per la pipe tra sox e sox.

1) prima usa ffmpeg per fare la decodifica dello stream di ingresso, convertendolo in wav(*);
2) poi "upsampla" a 176400 (che è la base PCM "giusta" per il DSD);
3) infine converte in DSD (in questo caso DoP, ma credo che si possa fare anche nativo).

(*) la cosa che mi perplime è quel "pcm_s16le": e se lo stream in ingresso fosse >16bit? O questo è un caso particolare, riferito soltanto a files di ingresso 16/44.1?

No, che io sappia non è esposta, non nasce come macchina da musica.

Non so nemmeno se è dotata di clock in grado di supportare le due famiglie di frequenze o se, meglio ancora, può accettare un clock in ingresso, come la BBB, in ogni caso servirebbe poi qualcosa tipo Hermes/Chonus... Non credo ci sia in giro nessuno con la voglia di investire tempo su questa piattaforma, quando la BBB costa 57 Eurozzi...
